A small head sits atop an amber colored Scottish ale. Aged in Scottish whiskey barrels this brew has aromas of vanilla, oak, and whiskey. Full flavored and extremely well balanced. Very smooth from start to finish. With 6.6% ABV this beer hides the alcohol in its toffee and caramel notes. This beer pairs well with burgers and fatty meats. With its easy drinkable taste this beer can be dangerous in high quantity.

Samuel Adams Griffin's Bow Oaked Blonde Barley Wine Ale
First time trying this beer and it is amazing. Similar in tatse and color to Innis & Gunn Original, another favorite of ours. A sweet smell goes against the deep rich flavors of this beer. Extremely well rounded with hints of vanilla, oak, caramel, and slight orange. Should pair well with savory food or as a dessert beer.
Drink This Sam Adams Alpine Spring
This is a delicious ale, although spring is in its name it isn't as fruity as other bottle fermented spring ales. A slight aroma of lemon or orange comes off the beer and it has a light taste. miminal head tops a slighty cloudy golden beer that resembles a wheat beer. A crisp clean finish pairs great with spicy foods and hot days.

"Drink This" Innis & Gunn with Owner & Brewmaster Dougal Sharp
Owner & Brewmaster Dougal Sharp of Innis & Gunn: Oak Aged Beer talks with John Hedlund and Drink This about how he discovered this unique brew.
The Innis and Gunn story: A character is born. It all began when a famous whisky distiller contacted Master Brewer Dougal Sharp to tell him that they wanted to produce an ale-finished whisky. Many other brewers and distillers had tried to make ale finished whisky but none had succeeded. Dougal proposed a special recipe and a special technique. He created a unique ale to impart a smooth, beery character to the oak barrels. This would in turn flavour the maturing whisky. The distillers were delighted that the process worked and the resulting Ale Cask reserve Whisky was a real success. It was only many months later, after thousands of gallons of beer had been used to season the oak barrels (then tragically, thrown away), that Dougal received a call that would change everything. "You have got to taste this beer that we are pouring away. The workers have sampled it and they say it tastes absolutely delicious,"

Samuel Adams is an American brand of beer brewed by the Boston Beer Company (NYSE: SAM) and its associated contract brewers. The company was founded in 1984 by Jim Koch, Harry M. Rubin, and Lorenzo Lamadrid in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The brand name of Samuel Adams (often abbreviated to Sam Adams, even in advertisements), was chosen in honor of Samuel Adams, an American patriot famous for his role in the American Revolution and Boston Tea Party. According to tradition, he was also a brewer.[3] The Boston Beer Company is currently the 2nd largest US beermaker. - Wikipedia
